Gerrard was only "world class" if you were England. You think France would swap him for Zidane? Italy for Pirlo? Spain for Iniesta or Xavi? These were the world class midfielders around Gerrard's time.
And they really wouldn't as they couldn't piss all over a bang average Portugal side, why? Because none of them wanted to or could defend. Most of the creativity in that side came from Beckham set pieces which is probably the only thing this side is lacking
Not sure if anyone else saw this, but the funniest part of Saturday, was at half time when the sprinklers were on. JOB stood astride the sprinkler and motioned as if he was p!ssing up the wall lol.
Well everyone’s fit at the moment. I would also say there hasn’t been anyone totally off it game in game out.
As much as Carmeron is getting pelters from some quarters, who here would replace him with an inexperienced youth player at the moment.
I think the strategy will be to build them up in men’s training for 2 months and then if there’s injuries or bad form then bring them in. I doubt their costing us much, the bigger question is probably are their parent clubs happy with this at least in the short term.
Stats report from the FGR game now up. Also we focus on Macca's stats for this game and in particular a side of his game that often goes unnoticed.

Not to mention this quote from no other than the mercurial Xavi on Paul Scholes…
Xavi, who said in 2014 that Scholes was "the best central midfielder" he had seen in the previous 15 to 20 years, describing him as "a spectacular player who has everything.
Only Bellingham in our current squad will reach anywhere near the levels that Scholes and Gerrard reached. In fact, there is a more than a touch of Gerrard in the way Bellingham plays.
