Thread: Leeds United - v - Watford ***Matchday Thread***

He didn’t ask anyone to pay 35m for him so he can’t control that but he is a young promising player who looks like he is very very good at this level and this may develop to be good at a higher level - whether he will or won’t time will tell but the foolishness/desperation or Orta and Marsh doesn’t make him a bad player.

Oz - I've often mentioned before the use of the "learning curve in football" & its importance in coaching & how clubs use it regarding transfer in's/out's.
Not gonna argue about its use as "some" will want an argument.🙄

But every footballer has a different learning curve, it might even be that the same person has different learning curves for different things he’s trying to learn. There are so many factors in learning and teaching an individual tactic to a player that knowing the concept of the learning curve is an absolute must for any coach.

The learning curve is the base for teaching a player an individual tactic. Knowing where the player is in the curve combined with the learning personality of a player helps the coach to tailor his coaching specifically for the player.

These two things decide for large parts the course of a pro's learning trajectory because it tells the coach about the ability and the capacity a player has to learn something.

Its an interesting scenario paying big bucks for raw footballing talent & was of particular interest to me.

Hard to summarise 🌝 - but the learning curve is a graphical representation of the relationship between how proficient someone is at a task and the amount of experience they have.

Every person has a different learning curve, it might even be that the same person has different learning curves for different things he’s trying to learn.

Leeds & others & now Farke obviously believe the money was well spent (£28 million plus future add on's totalling £35 million) for a French International originating from Rennes youth ranks who have the policy of developing young talent and moving said talent on for big bucks consistently through the transfer windows throughout Europe.

Tactalyse - a long read that will introduce why big bucks are spent.

He was outstanding v Millwall and played well v Ipswich so might suggest he is good at this level and finding his feet.

Your buddy slagged Jailson Anthony too and he looked pretty decent too.

Just feel sorry that you don’t seem to be able to enjoy the season so far.

Yes, because a good coach, and we have one, will often use that for many such games. He has the skill and work rate to do that over and over and a good coach will make that happen.

Still undecided if he's a flop or not, all I know is farke has brought out of him twice as much as marche, grazia and big Sam did, the boy works his guts out, he was just outside his own penalty area in the 87th minute when he still wanted the ball before going past 3 Watford players and sliding a perfect ball through, he's a trier and a worker, not like the or 8 rats that left, at the moment he's fine by me.

I am enjoying it and enjoy it even more when you see the likes of Ayling pushed out and hopefully, when Roden comes back Cooper takes a back seat. I've been impressed with the recruiting best for a very long time and can't wait for all of them to play.
There are weaknesses Gnonto and Summer for all their brilliance hardly score, Rutter? very much still out, hope proves me wrong
    Piroe is just brilliant.
So the bottom line is if someone is enjoying something they can't criticize?

Like I said don't count the chickens yet as one egg doesn't count for a dozen
