    I'll explain, it's because for the first part of the 13 years Labour provided such woeful opposition. In 2019 it wasn't a General Election, it was a Brexit Election. The vote had been won 3 years previously and much of the electorate was sick and tired of the dithering. Boris Johnson said he would "Get Brexit Done", and that earned loads of votes. The problem is that all his pledges turned out to be lies.
