    Stewarding at matches

I think we have a decent set of stewards at Dens, especially in the Cox, you might get the odd one or two that go over the top, away matches, some places are a disgrace and sometimes enough to make you not want to go back, the worst two in my eyes are Parkhead and Easter Road

I would agree that things have improved on the stewarding side recently and that the current lot are in general a decent bunch. Now that we are back in the league of the gruesome twosome, supporter behaviour wise, (arguably you can add Aberdeen to the bad behaviour list) I am not looking forward to their visits. Our support tends to get more hassle than the away support and this is more from the polis than the stewards. We'll likely see mayhem in the Shankly (protests, tennis balls, offensive flags, offensive songs, the whole lot standing for the whole game, blatantly pished supporters etc.) and the polis will be very reluctant to enter this area of intervene. On the other hand some of our own will be chucked out or worse for some much more trivial misdemeanor. Hopefully not but I won't be surprised if things pan out this way again this season.

The home game against Celtic is due to take place on Wednesday 27th December 2023. The last time we played Celtic at Dens Park at this time in December was during the Club 12 season and I remember reading that there was a lot of trouble with Celtic supporters who had got boozed up during the day but were still admitted to the Bob Shankly Stand despite their intoxicated condition.
Once again there is one set of rules for Celtic supporters and another set of rules for law abiding Dundee FC supporters.
No wonder a number of Dundee FC season ticket holders and supporters who purchase a ticket for home games give home games against Rangers and Celtic a miss.
I no longer attend home games against Rangers and Celtic because of the toxic atmosphere inside and surrounding Dens Park.

Someone can have my Coxy season ticket.

    I’ll be in the Shankly.

That game I remember well! From the worst drunkenness I've ever experienced from an away support to the fact iirc that they smashed up the bogs in the Shankly to a bus of the drunken neds getting off a bus and peeing just where they stood in full view of women and children. Only difference this time is that it is not a public holidays so if any of them actually have jobs there may not be as many pissed as last time which again iicr was on Boxing Day.

Insurance men got done away with, anyone with a mobile phone can take out a policy, it took a few years but they were found out, posties are here to stay
