The only stat that matters is the league table everyone is dropping points - we are doing brilliantly remember we are Notts County not Man City and they have even lost a couple of games

We're three points ahead of the Munto season at this stage, though it was game 12 at home to Torquay (2-2) that got McP the sack.
One point behind Allardyce's title winning season (game 12 that season being a win at Swansea).

Even if there was pressure on us to go up this season, you couldn't complain too much about an away draw to a side in the top half of the table, especially when there's 3 auto places up for grabs (Also note that Barrow finished 9th last season, they do seem to be a decent L2 outfit now after a couple of difficult seasons finishing 21st and 22nd).

Agree with this. Finishing top would be an u believable achievement, the first eleven is good but there's not huge depth in the squad. But, as you say top three is good enough.
I'd be happy to be in the mix until the transfer window opens and we strengthen.

A point away is a good result - onwards & upwards, the sun is still shining, its 25C and the beer is cold. COYP’s

Such a frustrating game to watch, you’d never have thought we were top playing like that. Credit to Barrow for getting to grips with us pretty quickly but that was as poor a performance without losing as you’re ever likely to see.

How Baldwin and Cameron stayed on the pitch today is astounding. Where is Chicksen? Surely we need someone who can read an attack and perform basic defensive duties in our back line.

LW quite rightly disgusted with the performance.

Luke Williams clearly fuming in his post-match comments, saying the team started correctly how we should play and then just stopped doing the right things, too many mistakes "as if we were bored with doing the correct actions". Amongst the key comments:

"We dropped two points for sure"

"Very, very disappointing game for us"

    "Almost childish"

"Too emotional - allowed their crowd to come into it"

"Just concentrate, focus, don't get too bored with making the same actions"

"Looked like we were determined, desperate to concede a goal. Crazy."

Make no mistake, this Head Coach is not one for respecting the point, and nothing but a fully focused 90-minute performance is good enough for him. Near enough isn't good enough for Luke Williams. This is the third time in recent weeks after Forest Green and Swindon that we just seem to have switched off after making good starts, and it's clearly starting to grate!

But LW needs to decide what he wants the team to do in games like this.

It was very similar to the Morecambe game, the home side was more than willing to behave like the away side...as if their own supporters weren't there at all. Ceding the ball and all the space in the world for our back line to just knock it around.

We were so dominant in the first quarter of the game. They were being outclassed. But when we stopped trying to hurt them they regrouped, concluded that we weren't that dangerous after all, and used that as the foundation to get back into a game they were being murdered in.

The lesson is that teams like Morecambe and Barrow are not going to play the part of the desperate home team and allow us to play through them once they commit. We have to be the ones to take the initiative, take risks and go for the jugular.
