Thank you very much for putting up the article.
I do not agree with the Dee4life spokesperson’s statement that board representation is of less concern than the lack of substantive information being supplied to the fans.
John Nelms says that all the Dundee FC board members are fans.
There are only four directors on the Dundee FC board of directors and one of them is resident in America.
Nelms states in the article that he has an open door policy with the DSA and they know some things that are commercially sensitive.
If I had been George Cran doing the interview I would have asked John Nelms the question.
“Why do you not have an open door policy with the Dee4life board of directors on same terms and conditions as the DSA”.
The Dundee supporters get next to no information from John Nelms and his fellow board of directors what is happening at Dens Park.
There is never a statement apologising for yet another home game at Dens Park being cancelled on the day of the game because of a waterlogged pitch and stating that the Dundee Football Club management will carry out a full investigation into why the pitch was waterlogged despite it being relaid during each of the past two summers.
Once the investigation is complete work will be carried out on the pitch to avoid this happening again and we apologise for the inconvenience to Dundee supporters for their inconvenience.
Instead we get a ‘copy and paste’ announcement from a previous statement when a game was called off due to the Dens Park pitch being waterlogged.
The Dundee supporters are crying out for communication from the management and board of directors of Dundee Football Club but all they get are scraps from articles in the Courier.
So you want them to apologise for the weather, that even you must agree was extraordinary over the weekend.
The absolute nonsense that you post attacking the Club, Nelms, and FPS, at every opportunity is tiresome.
The fact that you were a Director of Dee4Life, unbelievably being voted on, tells you all you need to know about the way the organisation was run in the past.
Want do you Dundee supporters to do. Roll over and accept that everything is wonderful with John Nelms in charge as Managing Director.
Last Friday evening on the BBC Scotland channel A Tale from the Terrace there was an interview with the former Motherwell FC player Keith Lasley who is the Chief Operating Officer at St Mirren Football Club. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Lasley
Keith Lasley stated that after the end of his playing career he attended Manchester Metropolitan University where he obtained a degree in Business Management.
It would be interesting to know what qualifications John Nelms has for being in charge of running Dundee Football Club.

John Nelms as managing director of Dundee Football Club should be apologising for last Saturday’s game against Ross County being called off.
It was touch and go whether the first home league game of this season was cancelled. The Motherwell manager Stewart Kettlewell stated this in the Sunday Times newspaper about the game.
It is the first time I have ever seen the Dundee FC groundstaff out trying clear the water lying on part of the pitch while the Motherwell game was in play. I have seen groundstaff working on the pitch at halftime trying to get rid of puddles on the pitch but never during the game.
