Yeah. We all saw the same pictures of him holding his leg.
Only time will tell how bad it was or whether it was just precautionary.

Hopefully just precautionary, they were pretty quick to get him off. Absolutely stupid playing him in this game at all though, same goes for Moult and a few others. If we win this shyte trophy it'll probably cost us more in travelling costs than what we recieve in prize money, but if we don't get promoted because we lost key players to injury in the process it'll be absolutely disastrous to our finances. It really isn't rocket science.

Moult could easily have picked up a knock. Saw him asking the ref for more protection.
    It's madness.

Totally agree. Reckon your probably right point about the winner's pot not even covering the costs of our involvement.

But risking our main players - Gallagher, Moult, Doc & Walton - not worth the risk IMO.

When the Scottish Cup comes around - yeah, give it a good go by all means.

But, this competition is a waste of time and money for all concerned.

Think the prize money is around £20K.

We may not value the competition as fans, but the players & manager all want to win it.

Football players have never really been all that bright though have they.

Which is fine, probably most fans would like to win it too but if we drop league points because of injuries in that Cup the mood will soon change.

I would wager even the regular players don't really care about this competition. I just don't see any benefit in it, play your first team, and you lose, how does that help morale or momentum? You almost have to win to justify it, and even then, nobody cares, you might also end up getting a home league game rearranged to accommodate it, so your home crowd can take a hit. You have the huge risk of losing a moult or Gallagher, and risking winning the league, plus you learn absolutely nothing, why not use it to test the squad, by all means try and win it, but nobody's going to bat an eyelid if you lose.
