Southgate has had and has still got the best team in Europe, they may or may not be able to win despite the shackles he places on them.

Much as I rate kane and Foden (snake hips )

Bellingham is a superstar and Rice is head and shoulders above anything we have.

Many would argue with that but if you watch the lad he has it all - his positional sense and quickness of thought and movement are just brilliant - he really makes the game look easy he has very creative men around him and so maybe we don’t see as much of that side of his game.

    Nevertheless brilliant footballer

We are just puzzled that when Manchester United and Manchester City cannot wait to get shot of Harry and Kalvin respectively they are still so popular with you. Nevertheless it was an improved performance against Italy in which our attacking players won the day. Bellingham is simply awesome. We have the players to win it, not sure we have the manager.

Playing Trippier at left back continues to baffle me.

Just watched a couple of re-runs of Harry's goal, he did well, but I can only say Italian defenders ain't what they used to be. I haven't seen many Italian teams allow goals like that against them.

A softer centre than a tiramisu.

Can you imagine the comments if an Italian forward had done that to say Maguire and Stones, there would have been a meltdown on social media. Getting a goal out of an Italian defence always used to be like getting blood out of a stone, but not any more, that was joke defending.

After the game Gareth said Phillips was outstanding. I know managers will support their players in public, but Phillips was bloody awful, booked inside 10 minutes, left stranded on the right wing when they broke out and scored, but check the replays just before half-time, Pickford makes a good save, there's a goalmouth scramble, we have 9 players in the box defending.........but Phillips isn't one of them. Just what is he in the team for ?

In fairness to Philips his after match interview was at least honest on his behalf.

He didn’t expect to start - he played just ok was aware that he shouldn’t be playing due to lack of game time domestically and said he was lucky to stay on the field.

At least he was honest - not his fault he was selected when others are playing every week at their clubs.

He’ll be leaving City anyway - made it fairly obvious to the world.

    I hazarded a guess in post 10. Otherwise I don’t have a clue.
