So you would have preferred it if the 50k supporters had all stood up and booed him when he came on.

I wouldn't boo the guy at a game no. But applause basically says it's fine what he has done.

We wouldn't applaud a player who has made a wreckless challenge and got himself suspended for 3 games, but we applaud a guy who has knowingly come to us with a very lengthy suspension looming.
