    Newcaste v Palace - Ref watch

    The referee & VAR team did a good job today.

    Credit where it's due. No controversy, no nonsense, let the game flow. Pulled it back for fouls. Dished out a few fair yellows.

    Well done. There is hope for he PGMOL yet!

    True, a much better performance than some of the so called bigger name refs, although the Trippier booking was very harsh.

    To be fair, it is a good thing when used professionally and correctly as it should be.

    The problem is, either spoiled by inefficiency, blatant stupid mistakes or perhaps some serious favouritism. All of which should be wiped out.

    the big time Charlie refs favouritism is one of the main reasons we need the Ref's mic'd up and the audio available for review by fans, supporters groups and clubs.

    They are supposed to be impartial however, when you listen to the accounts of retired pros of mid table or not 'fraud 6' clubs the bias is clear and obvious.

    That is corruption, period.

    Has to stop. Rugby can do it so can football.
