I think it does. Many are saying: ‘he’s only 23, just a kid’, ‘it’s only one mistake’ and ‘it’s not his fault, it’s an addiction’. While I agree partially with the latter, you could also say: ‘he’s a millionaire and could’ve paid the best specialists to help him IF he’d wanted to’. My take is that he thought his betting wasn’t traceable back to him through these sites and so broke the rules on purpose. He was let down by his mate who’s a grass.
These players are hugely privileged and need to carry some responsibility.
