Morecambe looking strong now. 4th in the PPG table, 2nd on current form. Would be equal on pts with Notts if they won their games in hand.

Swindon losing at home to Gillingham is a bit of a surprise. MKD beating Bradford 4-1 the most startling result of the night.
9 wins on the bounce now for Stockport, they should make it 10 on Saturday at home to struggling Tranmere.

I didn't think anyone except JJ was on top form tonight, but credit where's it due, AB seems to be getting more consistent and does have flashes of really good stuff. His drive through the middle in the first half was highly threatening

I disagree. And this is the problem, we have to give him credit for all the good things he does all game long.
There was one incident where he lost it twice in a few seconds in the 2nd half - and that's the only lapse really. To remember and focus on that rather than all the good stuff he did can't be right.

It's shaping up to be very competitive at the top and very pleasing that we are in the mix, continuing to improve and using more of the squad some of whom are showing good promise.

Excellent performance and result, JJ my MOM. Shame Junior couldn't get his name on the score sheet. All the subs made me nervous! But we got there with relative ease. Bring on the RectumWood!

Did not think we played well but more than enough to win and a great clean sheet is fantastic.Newport were pretty poor and looked no better than a lot of teams we played last year Macari looks fine and I think that Morias will come good with game time. Rawlinson and O'Brien need to stay on the bench. Jones simply unplayable. On a final note fantastic rotation by Luke Williams of the squad.

I think he just loses focus as the game goes on, he’s such a class act when he’s on it.

Yes its a relief isn't it having someone else at the back. He looks like he has been an integral part of the team for some time. Some management from Williams in the way he has brought him in as well. Plus a confidence boosting wonder goal.

Yes, and I thought he was great tonight. In that central position, and often the spare man, he's on the ball more than any other player on the pitch. Got to applaud the 98% of passes AB successfully completed, a lot of them with a high degree of difficulty because he's capable of that.
