LW currently has the 3rd best goals per game record of any Notts manager at 4th tier level, only Frank Hill and Cotterill can better his 1.75 GPG.

At the other end however, only Kewell, Sheridan and Cooper have done worse than LW's 1.75 goals against. Wrexham aren't doing much better though on 1.69 against.

Wrexham have the 16th best defence in the league, Notts 17th. So either it doesn't matter so much and we're reading too much into defensive issues or Wrexham are going to get 'found out' as well if they carry on as they are.

    Mansfield are top on 0.80, Stockport (3rd) 1.00, Morecambe (4th) 1.14.

Thanks for that it showed clearly that Mullin kicked out at Jones, certainly should have been a red and how did Jones get a yellow he did nothing ? Cop out even the slightly biased Wrexham commentators said the Wrexham player made contact and how unlucky were we for the 1st goal it’s hit Darby’s back and bounced over Slocombe - 9 times out of 10 and it just rebounds back
Wrexham fans and Commentators saying it’s their best performance of the season and Parkinson said it was one of their best since he’s been in charge, it wasn’t ours ..we have nothing to worry about and will be challenging near the top come the business end of the season

Considering your new what do you know ?
Considering as many say on here that LW is much better than Nolan ( Which i seen no evidense of at this level ) , the fact that LW has better owners and maybe better players ( as Nolan lost Yates his best player in Jan ) , he should finish higher than Nolan 5th place , which on the current evidense looks unlikely

You know you have to consider the other teams in the league don’t you? I’m terms of how strong or not this league is compared to then.
Just out of interest were you happy with what Nolan served up football wise? I get some fans will say doesn’t matter if you win but for me that was some of the worse I’ve ever seen at Notts, made Warnock look tippy tappy.

Why are we comparing Williams to Nolan? I don't get it. Is it because Nolan was the last Notts manager to have the club in the top 6? Is that as important to where the supporters realistically thought we would finish before the Sutton game kicked off?

Other than age and being charge of our club there is very little similarities between the two.

I seriously doubt if Nolan was in charge with his style of football the attendances would be as high as they are. Maybe Williams will reach the playoffs and fail like Nolan. If so and we start next season in League Two as many expect I would bet every pound I have that we would start the next season far better than Nolan did. That was the worst start to a season that i can ever remember

2.06 not 1.75, I miss-typed the average goals against in there, but 2.06 is the 3rd best for any Notts manager at this level.
2.06 goals per game would be our 12th best of all time, if that level is maintained.

1.75 goals against would be the 100th 'best' season for fewest conceded. The worst (125th) was 3.32 in the very first FL season. Over 3 goals against per game is just nuts and thankfully the only time that has ever happened, the next worst was 2.32 the following season, only 10 campaigns have seen an average of 2.00 or more against.

If we maintained the current 1.88 average PPG that would be the joint 12th best average PPG in our history (all based on 3 per win), which is a good indication of just how well this season has gone so far. Both the exceptional Sirrel (based on 3 per win) and Big Sam title winners averaged 2.15, the 2nd and 3rd best of all time behind last season's 2.33.

Well said. Nolan was a manager who took us out of the football league after 130 years of tenure. Williams is the manager that won the status back.
