And there's nowt wrong with that. We have system that marks out 'Other Topic' threads, so people can ignore the non-football content if they wish.

Something we can all agree on is thousands of innocents being killed on either side is never going to be a solution.

We can discuss what happened thousands of years ago or since 1947 neither of which is helpful here.

The first port of call is the killing has to stop.

Citing religious texts is dangerous and moronic.

This devise crap all over the world has to stop. Be it here or overseas

If you want to discuss football, it might be better to start a topic on what you want to discuss or contribute to a topic that's already there if there is one. There are plenty around if you look.

If you gave the Palestinians/Hamas the freedom they crave and put them somewhere on earth they agreed to. It would not take long for them to, complain about being persecuted in some other form. They clearly just want to kill off the Jewish race.
It is no wonder Israelis feel threatened and retaliate, as you only have to look on the map to see which countries surround them.

Hamas exists to eradicate Israel and has no interest in agreeing a deal, unlike the Palestine Liberation Organisation.

This is an interesting perspective I’ve not heard before. However I doubt many of you will agree with it:

It's overly simplistic and completely fails to wrestle what were not just Hamas "crimes" but disgusting, evil acts against civilians. War crimes aren't reciprocal in either direction, and what happened in Israel on October 7th has to be condemned loudly, with full throat.

Civilians have to be protected. Taking hostages is a war crime. Putting hostages in harm's way is a war crime. Killing civilians for no military purpose is a war crime. This piece makes all that sound like an "oopsie". There are rules in war, and Hamas didn't just break them - it obliterated them.

Complaints that "Israel is worse" like this completely misses the point. Either every war crime is loudly condemned, or the concept of war crime is lost. And that is bad for everyone.
