Fair enough, 15 years of Ashley will do that to a person

Dortmund and Bournemouth, then a 2 week break… and hopefully a few players back in the reckoning by the time the international break finishes.

I'm treating all European games as just a bonus for us to enjoy and watch with no expectancy.. However... we have played the majority of last seasons top 10 and we are top 6.. I do expect us to beat Bournmouth and this will put us in a class position heading into the break.. the gap between the top half and bottom half is massive and I know there will be a few shocks (see Luton vs Liverpool) but on the whole we need to be giving a statement against the team in the lower end of the table..

I will gladly eat humble pie for this thread.. and I will gladly eat humble pie for the rest of the season whenever I feel pessimistic..

The loss to Dortmund was massive. We lose this upcoming game, in all likelihood we are out.

Yes indeed mate, the Big one tomorrow night in Germany.
Then a Howe derby on the south coast before the lads get a bit of R&R.

We have enough to beat Bournemouth.

Dortmund took a hiding at the weekend with Kane some how scoring a third hattrick in 10 matches, dispelling any myth that Bundeliga is anywhere near as competitive as the Premier League.

We own then a performance, our squad is badly battered but we've shown the dogged embattled determination characteristic of Eddie & The Maddog!

Recon we'll give them a better game than we did in the down pour at SJP t'other week.

I'll take 1 or 3 points. We don't want to lose this one!
