Just read about the above going to ballot later this month. Unsure of where the money is coming from, unless a redistribution of all that swilling around in the PL ? , but distributed over 6 years for all 72 affected clubs it works out at an average of about £2 m a year per club for 6 years.

On the face of it, this can only be good news for our cash strapped selves but on consideration maybe there are two issues- firstly, will Lai only try to pocket the money himself (or at best try and recoup some of his losses before selling) and, secondly, if all clubs get an equal share, then the status quo with us being poor in comparison to others continues. £2 m in today's market is nothing really but one consequence of such an injection of cash will surely only be to push prices for players further up a bit more. Such players will be as unattainable then for us as they are now. The only silver lining may be that we will not be forced to sell existing players perhaps.
