Doesn't quite fit the thread title, but I played against Nigel Jemson yesterday in my veterans match. He was playing for Long Bennington. Interestingly, Gavin Gordon also plays in the same league for Ancaster, but didn't turn out when we played them a couple of weeks ago.

Is that in the East Midlands vets league?
Remember playing in that league about 7 years back and we played against a team called Driffield who had Rory delap and Martin kuhl playing for them aswell as Rob Kozluk

Yeah, that's right. There are a few divisions based around smaller geographic areas and we're in the Eastern one so out towards Newark, Grantham etc. I think there are a few more ex pros still turning out.

Just looked at Long Bennington squad on FA Full Time mate and the Long Bennington Teamsheet from yesterday he’s not even registered to play so must of played under a false name as a ringer

Apologies, it was Bottesford, not Long Bennington - https://fulltime.thefa.com/displayTe...26945065#tab-4

Craig Short takes over as Caretaker Manager at Oxford. His 2nd stint as caretaker there (was previously in the same role in March before they appointed Liam Manning). Wonder if he's compared any Notts stories with Ruben?

I think he deserves another shot in management!

He tried to recall Jones if I remember correctly in his first stint but was thwarted by EFL loan rules
