The appalling crime that happens on Oct 7, i don’t need to repeat but the worst attack on jewish people since the holocaust. It horrifies me an idealogy or an ‘organization’ such as Hamas can do this. I hope those responsible are punished severely but not 10000 odd civilians mostly children killed as retaliation. It sickening that you think you can justify it in that way.
I'm not justifying I'm giving you the facts , facts that many people on the streets of London today would find incredibly uncomfortable if they had the intelligence to research the history of this conflict which given many don't even know what river it is that's referred to in the Palestinian chant " From The River To The See " .

When they talk about apartheid and genocide many don't know that the biggest culprits by a country mile are actually committed against Jews .

It seems as if there’s quite a lot of double standards taking place in this board. DaveP67 i’m not sure what your agenda is here but it seems very one side - anti muslim. Something you’d like to share?

Yeah flags for Ukraine but none for Palestine. There’s a fkin genocide taking place, and yet you guys keep going on about the protest being in favour of hamas - as if they are protesting about support for hamas. No they ain’t. Innocent children are being killed and only now Macron has come out to ask there needs to be a ceasefire. Israel has a right to defend land they stole due to the occupation?? Seriously? It’s as if you all woke up to believe this conflict started 7th October.

Now while it looks like i’m being one sided, i’m not. It absolutely disgusts me when I heard the festival attack on israelis, killing by that Hamas attack. I think this crooked government does have a lot to answer for. But you’ve got an israeli government who don’t help matters at all.

Just think about how many people have died as a result form this current conflict rather focus on a tiny percentage who might be anti jewish at the protest. There’s thousands of children dying. But it seems to me that the majority of you believe that palestinians lives never mattered. You’re a sick person if you cannot condemn the violence from both sides rather than both.

Deport them to the country of origin - seriously Leicester?? Stop being an A class nazi! Freedom of speech when it suits you.
As I have stated I am not against protest, freedoms that have been hard won, what I think is wrong is for these protests to take place this weekend, this will bring out the wrong elements and cause greater division, the protest should have taken place on Friday. As for being anti Muslim I am probably the only person on this forum to have spent a considerable amount of time in the Middle East, Israel and the West Bank (not Gaza tho), the average bloke is the average bloke wherever you go and whatever religion, however and it is a big however the Muslim world is riddled with hard line Islamist’s who stir up the populous ( see the far right and Europe in the 1930’s) we cannot and must not be apologists for wanting this stamped out, and I don’t say this lightly almost at any cost. So I am anti fundamentalist religion in any guise, and sadly the Islamic fundamentalists are the worst and must be crushed, the worst thing we ever did was invade Iraq and open this Pandora’s box.

I’ve just googled this ‘river to the see’ chant and sadly you’ll get 2 different views.. one from a pro-palestinian viewpoint and the other a hardline right wing jewish. The latter interprets it as a threat (understandable given the horrors they’ve faced). I think there’s a problem how this is being translated by media dangerously. My guess is an extreme islamist will have vile viewpoint when they chant this, whereas a pro palestinian and not an anti semite reason for saying would mean completely different? Would you agree to this? problem is knowing everyone’s intentions and I doubt as you say many people will understand. But then I read that jewish are marching in solidarity with pro-palestinian marches - how do you explain that?

Those being pro-palestinian at marches are it necessarily being anti semite, this is from the jewish community. I think a lot of this rhetoric sadly has come from certain individuals and Suella is one.

Points well made P67. I can agree and side with you on everything you’ve said there.

You’ve got to ask who is killing who now? Hamas are saying they’ll continue and plan more - what a bunch of loons and they should be wiped out. The problem is, killing 10000 civilians only creates more anger and more danger in the years ahead. It has to stop somewhere.

I would imagine Jewish people are comfortable marching in solidarity today , there are over 2m Arabs who live in Israel after all .

This is the thing that many people either don't know or want to know , it's a perfectly safe place for Arabs to live alongside the Jewish population just as long as they aren't attacking them and wish to eliminate the state of Israel .

Funny thing going on here in that surrounding area mind , at one time thousands upon thousands of Jews lived in the neighbouring countries , today on a handful remain , why do you think that is ?

They hate Jews and they hate the existence of Israel and they'd like nothing more than to see it eliminated .

Imagine as an Israeli living everyday with everyone neighbouring you wanting to destroy you .

In that situation of course you are going to put down robustly any form of attack that seeks to eliminate you and you are going to go about it in the most brutal way possible .

This historic conflict isn't even about the land or who had what way back God knows when or even who occupied the land first .

This is about an alternative religion in that region and in a state that enjoys more prosperity , more freedoms and is a shining beacon of multi culturalism .

That of course flys in the face of what surrounds it , poverty , lack of human rights , sharia law , public floggings , executions by beheading under the umbrella of Islam .
