Does anyone know where he currently is in the clubs 'all time' top scorers charts?
Looks to me like on 53 goals he's recently surpassed Wootton, Stead, Rodrigues and Allsopp (in less than half of the games most of them played).
Obviously he's still a way behind Les Bradd (137). Trevor Christie must be up there somewhere too. But he's catching up on the likes of Stallard, Hughes, McParland. If he carries on like he is he might end this season above all of them.
If there's an up to date link with all this info in it I'd love to see it.
Thought he should have scored that snapshot chance Saturday but was unlucky with the 25 yarder
I'm in the process of getting player stats together, but of the post war names I can think of.......
Les Bradd
League Goals: 125 FA Cup: 4 LC/other: 8
Tony Hateley
League Goals: 109 FA Cup: 4 LC/other: 1
Jackie Sewell
League Goals: 97 FA Cup: 7 LC/other: 0
Tommy Lawton
League Goals: 90 FA Cup: 13 LC/other: 0
Ian McParland
League Goals: 69 FA Cup: 9 LC/other: 12
Mark Stallard
League Goals: 69 FA Cup: 3 LC/other: 7
Trevor Christie
League Goals: 64 FA Cup: 3 LC/other: 13
Lee Hughes
League Goals: 59 FA Cup: 5 LC/other: 2
Mick Vinter
League Goals: 54 FA Cup: 5 LC/other: 4
Tommy Johnson
League Goals: 51 FA Cup: 1 LC/other: 5
Iain McCulloch
League Goals: 50 FA Cup: 2 LC/other: 1
There's a few more post war players I forgot with over 60 goals.
Don Masson
League goals: 92 FA Cup goals: 3 LC/other goals: 2
Tom Johnston (the 50s player, not to be confused with Tommy Johnson)
League goals: 88 FA Cup goals: 4 LC/other goals: 0
Gary Lund
League goals: 64 FA Cup goals: 4 LC/other goals: 12
There's a fair few pre-war too.
Tom Keetley is the highest pre 1939 scorer.
League goals: 94 FA Cup goals: 4 LC/other goals: 0
Interesting. Even with those additions there's definitely an chance of him making the Top 10 by the end of this season.
And frankly if he stays injury free and sees out his current contract (til 2027) here he might overtake Sir Les. I'd dearly love to see that.
