You went down because you were 5hit. Not because of anything Neverton did.

What next, if City and Chelsea are found guilty will you try to sue them for taking points off your truly abysmal side last season?

You've spent the majority of the last 40 years outside the top flight so should be used to being down there.

That fractious Carlos Tevez "affair" ended after 2 long years of expensive litigation with a final settlement of £20 million eventually agreed out of court by the Blades.

That agreement concluded a legal tussle that had been ongoing since Sheff Utd were relegated in season 2007 after those Tevez's goals helped keep West Ham up & despite the fact that the Hammers were "earlier fined" by the PL for breaking rules on third-party player ownership at that time.

It was reported that West Ham had agreed to pay Sheff Utd £15m over 5 years with an "extra bond" of £5m payable in the event of Hammers being sold within a certain time frame too.

Been reading Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson (then Hammers owner) was under pressure to sell the club as a result of the collapse of his biz in Iceland's banking collapse at that time & a year later flogged it to the perv-brothers who then got West Ham relegated !

So yeah, justice in time hopefully against Everton too but it'll take a while to see any cash for those clubs interested parties seeking it, for sure.

Liverpool Echo attacking Man City today with a full list of FFP charges and their possible punishment as Liverpool FC await Man City verdict. 😅

Not sure what point you are trying to make?

Were we sh1t last season? Yes, and I suspect more Leeds supporters (who post here or not) would say so.

Would it be better for football generally if the powers that be grew a spine and a pair, and applied the rules and the sanctions that go with them in order to GOVERN what happens in football generally and the PL/EFL specifically? I would say yes, you would disagree?

Is it necessary for the likes of Leicester, Southampton and Leeds to threaten legal action because aforementioned footballing authorities lack the spine and b4lls to sanction where the rules of the game have bene flagrantly and repeatedly flouted? You f00king betcha! you would suggest that they (The FA and EFL in particular) have been acceptable custodians of the governance of football in the leagues and divisions that are regarded by many as the best in the world?

Now f00k off back under whatever rock you crawled out from and let us get on with getting back where we belong, the highest tier of football in this country.

Good episode of the rest of football tried to explain what Everton were docked and some of the background. They had a person on who looks at these issues.

Part of the problem seems to be that there is a lack of transparency and accessibility from the football authorities as to exactly what is being alleged and why.

Everton had total losses of about 300m over the relevant 3 year period of which about 180m were deductible and don’t count (youth set up, stadium and training ground expenditure efc).

Of the remainder they breached the spending cap by about 19.5m but put forward reasons which weren’t accepted by the tribunal and the finding was that it wasn’t a deliberate breach as such.

Everton had been speaking to the PL team that oversees this and there was a way for them not to breach the rules but they went a different way thinking they fell into an exception.

19.5m overspend and not deliberate/lnowingly done - 10 points seems fairly harsh so I suspect that they will appeal and get the sanction reduced.

Podcast also talks about some off the various reasons why the City case will take ages before it is heard.
