Au contraire mon ami, we are not here by accident, this outcome has been planned for by Hamas, they built the tunnels, they murdered, raped and burnt alive innocent Israelis, they took women and children as hostages, they knew the IDF would come for them, they knew what they were doing, and what the Israeli response would be. They not only reject a two state solution, their stated aim is the destruction of Israel and the extirmination of the Jews. One of their leadership is already quoted as saying they will carry out further attacks on innocent Jewish Israelis as often as they can.

So you stroke your chin, sit on the fence and ponder mon ami. I know who to blame for this appalling loss of life, this catastrophic human tragedy. It has been quite deliberately engineered, those without blinkers on have seen it coming for years.

I'm tired of the same old argument mon ami. If the Jews had not turned Palestine into an Occupied Territory Hamas would not exist.

But they did and here we are.

Speaking of blinkers those that are daft enough to believe there is any possibility of a Two-State solution to this problem really are as intellectually challenged as the terrorist organisation who may believe that Allah might help drive the Jews out of Israel.

The Clarets have more chance of winning this season's Premier League.

I agree about the Two State solution, anyone who thinks that possible when one side wants to wipe the other off the face of the earth, is not quite all there imo.

As yet I can not see any connection, the area of which they found the gas was out at sea. But , the discoveries of natural gas confirmed that the Levant basin of the Eastern Mediterranean contains significant quantities of natural gas. Consequently, additional exploration for gas off Israel's coastline is continuing.

In late November 2022 Energean announced a new commercial natural gas discovery of 13 billion cubic meters off the shore of Israel as a result of its exploratory drilling well dubbed Zeus.
Natural gas in Israel is a primary energy source in Israel, mainly utilized for electricity production and to lesser degree in industry. Israel began producing natural gas from its own offshore gas fields in 2004.

In early 2017, Israel began exporting natural gas to the Kingdom of Jordan.

In 2023 Cyprus and Israel were working on a deal to create a natural gas pipeline between the two countries, whereas Israeli natural gas would be liquified and exported to Europe.
Which would be 320-kilometer (200-mile) in length and estimated to cost 450 million euros. The pipeline would take about two and a half years to build.

A Jew who is living in London lost his 12 year old twins in the October 7th slayings, apparently they lived with their aunt in the kibbutz Hamas attacked. The aunt was murdered too.

He said, "All we can do now is pray that the world comes to its senses and understands that 'never again' is now."

Hard not to well up when you read the full article I must say.

I did wonder why the Israelis were so keen to take Gaza back.

BT : Who is grabbing what is not theirs?

From a purely historical perspective, “Israel” predates “Palestine” by more than a millennium.

But, with the Jewish people then dispersed from their homeland, by the romans. “Palestine” became home to a substantial Arab population, for more than a millennium. But if you want it to be 'correct that, ''if the Jews had not turned Palestine into an Occupied Territory. '' Again, where they not taking back what was theirs? It was their land, (the Bible is their history book!) by the Roman Empire (and its successor the Byzantine State), beginning the Jewish diaspora.

But BT be full of joy: The Economist ranked Israel as the 4th most successful economy among developed countries for 2022. The IMF estimated Israel's GDP at US$564 billion and its GDP per capita at US$58,270 in 2023 (13th highest in the world), a figure comparable to other highly developed countries.

I'm pretty sure history will tell you David Ben Gurion and his Haganah terrorists saw the British off and somehow persuaded the UN to award them 56% of Palestinian land.

    Here's a clue...

Oh no!, but are 700k Gazans easy to control? Even 10 are not easy ! What did Israel do in 2005 ? (By 22 September 2005, Israel's withdrawal from the entire Gaza Strip to the 1967 Green Line, and the eviction of the four settlements in Samaria, was completed. In June 2007 Hamas took over the Gaza Strip from the Palestinian Authority.) The rest is history !
(Based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a child means every human being below the age of 18.) Even at 13-15y, they are throwing stones etc. Which can kill!

I told you B T ,it was belonging to the Jews, its all mentioned thousands of years ago in some book called the Bible. I have never got around to reading the Old Testament as yet ! The Southern Levant. Related biblical, religious and historical English terms include the Land of Canaan, the Promised Land, the Holy Land, and Palestine.
The definitions of the limits of this territory vary between passages in the Hebrew Bible, with specific mentions in Genesis 15, Exodus 23, Numbers 34 and Ezekiel 47. Nine times elsewhere in the Bible, the settled land is referred as "from Dan to Beersheba", and three times it is referred as "from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of Egypt" (1 Kings 8:65, 1 Chronicles 13:5 and 2 Chronicles 7:8). Do you remember I told you what in Hebrew 'Beersheba' means! Be'er is a well ,and Sheba or Sheva means seven. ( the place of 7 wells !)

After Beersheva its a desert! Then way back in history ,before you cross the desert ,you need water! ( The desert stretches just south of Beersheva unto Eilat ,on the Red sea.) The desert is about 230 kms from there to the Red sea.
