No it didn't but Warne wasn't sacked,he was poached above board and compensation was agreed on those terms.HensonsPRM does have valid points. All contracts are different but the rumours of David O'Leary getting paid fortunes by Leeds years after he got sacked are a good example of how complicated these issues can be. The bottom line is that MT was sacked without a plan and we are,in my opinion, basically scratching around for a manger. The logical conclusion of this has to be Leam Richardson.

If what your "contact" says is correct then all that information would have been readily available before prospective candidates were either approached or interviewed.
Let’s face it, Stewart has made a right horlicks of this. Sacks the manager, leaves the country on business, then either through incompetence or ignorance, no replacements lined up. Meanwhile, we will be SEVEN points adrift of safety tonight. We’re going down anyway, so may as well have stuck with MT.

The crucial thing is they need their original employer to play ball, I am told that Saints are playing hardball with Jones, hence why he has shown interest in the Wed, Rotherham and Brizzle Rovers jobs and none have gone anywhere.

The same contact who told me the above also believes Rowett cannot take a job until the end of January without Millwall's permission.

So maybe appointing a new manager is not as easy as some on here think.
Ok good point, so why would they apply for the job then?

My comment was only in response to brin's observation that good managers would be queuing for the job if we were mid table. Wasn't referring to HPRM.

So you believe that, let’s say Nathan Jones has to go to Southampton who are still paying him and agree a pay off. That will mean that he’s able to take up another post.

    Can’t see that 😉

Very good point. I suspect that TS runs the club with an iron fist and people do very little without his say so and don’t like giving him bad news either. This is a farce now, and wasting 3 games out of 30 left is shocking, and it doesn’t get any easier either. The club needs a manager in to give us any chance, of pulling a miracle out of the bag.

You don't see National League clubs as bad as this.We are not professional like other clubs,Directors of football are advising chairmen what direction the club should move.Who's giving advice to our chairman?

If you're right this nonsensical situation is entirely down to the chairman.
It's OK being an autocrat if things go well but when they don't you can't really blame anybody else.
Get ready for the BS when the long-running farce finally ends.

Richardson stood out a mile. Easily the best candidate etc etc. If only you could get a decent bet on the 6-1 still available.

Until he agrees a compromise agreement with Southampton he is a paid employee on gardening leave and as such he is in breech of his contract if he takes another job. The PFA will be working like mad to get a settlement but if Southampton play hard ball, and that happens, his only option is to go to an employment tribunal and argue restraint of trade.
He was in the same position when he was interested in the Wednesday job, hence Rob Staton's comments about the timing not working, it will take too long to sort so the club look elsewhere.
