Last night I was looking at old topics on the Dark Blues Forum from December/January 2023.
I came across one topic about the Directors of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited borrowing money from the Isle of Man based financial company Soho Green paying interest rates of between 9% and 24% per annum.
One poster thought that Soho Green were lead company supplying finance for the new stadium development at Campy Nou with other companies providing other finance for the project. The Directors of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited put up the 29.7 acres Cammy Nou site plus the entrance to the former NCR Camperdown factory as security for their loan.
Interestingly the Directors of Sandeman Properties Limited have since 3rd October 2023 borrowed money from Soho Green paying interest rates of between 11.40% and 24% per annum with the Dens Park Stadium put up as security for this loan.
I raised my concerns about the Directors of Sandeman Properties Limited (Tim Keyes and John Nelms) borrowing money from Soho Green at eye watering interest rates and putting up the Dens Park Stadium as security for their loan at the Q and A section of the recent Dee4life AGM.
If the loan is not repaid then Soho Green will own Dens Park and they would likely sell it to the highest bidder to cut their losses.
It was also mentioned during the Q and A section of the meeting that based on current interest rates and borrowing costs the annual rent that Dundee Football Club would have to pay to use the new stadium would be higher than their current annual turnover.
I was hoping that we might have some comment about the actual note of the meeting and some helpful suggestions to help boost the number of supporters who join Dee4life. It seems to me that our club lacks a unifying supporters organisation that can take strategic decisions. DSA is an effective umbrella organisation but I don't think it can do much more than it is already doing. I think we need more.

It does not help matters with John Nelms giving a message to the Dee4life members at the AGM that he hates Dee4life and the Dee4life members are not welcome in the Club’s offices at the Gardyne Campus.
Nelms is trying to split the Dundee supporters by showing favouritism to the DSA whilst having nothing to do with Dee4life and will not have any meaningful discussions with the Dee4life board of directors.
Nelms does not appear to have realised that a number of Dee4life members are also members of Dundee FC Supporters Clubs so they have a foot in both camps.

Did he put that in writing or was he actually there to give that message?

Islay, if you continually keep bringing this thread back to being anti John Nelms then you are missing the point imo. I am hoping that every dee supporter will have ideas to help Dee4life. OK I can see that some might want to give up the concept, but there are over 500 who are members and perhaps they have ideas that would help Dee4life.
I think anyone who attended the AGM would have understood the thinking behind the actions of the Board and have some sympathy and not a little frustration at the lack of progress towards getting the entrenched rights honoured by the Board of DFC. A rainy day fund , attempts to engage with every Dee no matter where they stay, and someone on the board who could talk to the owners does not seem to me an impossible dream.

Would you accept my interpretation of your post - as follows.

Dee4Life should set their own agenda and get on with building their membership, by trying to find a way forward that does not rely on acceptance by the DFC Board.

They really shud have nothing to do with linda until they have their rightful position.

Try and build their membership once they have a cast iron plan or direction moving forward.

They are almost irrelevant to the majority of the Dundee support, just the way Linda wants it.

I wouldn't be working with DSA either who seem to be perfectly happy with the current situation, biggest problem for them in foreseeable is whether to have a 2 course or 3 course at invercarse. 🙄

Around 3 weeks to another missed deadline.
