I separate the team from the club bcram.

I am always pretty committed to the team.

I don't like the way Linda runs the club, smoke mirrors and illusion......now and again gets lucky, more than often dosent and is a very very cold fish towards the fans.

Heard all is not well re Gardyne either but might be off the mark.....who knows.

He's done a helluva lot for himself with his time in Scotland but not a great deal re building the club.

Now before anyone starts banging on.....Keyes has brought financial security of sorts.......but Linda's contribution.....meh.

And bill Colin seemed very keen to get fans to join D4L.......wonder why.

Bill Colvin was also keen for the buyback of Dens Park with the Dundee supporters ultimately owning Dens Park through a Community Industry company.
After Bill Colvin resigned as the Chairman of Dundee Football Club Limited and a partner in FPS the buy back of Dens Park from John Bennett immediately ended as Nelms was only interested in his new stadium development at Campy Nou which in May 2018 was rumoured to cost a total of £20 million to complete.

No they dont. You stated on this forum that John Nelms hates Dee4life and also stated the Dee4 life members were not welcome at Gardyne.

I take it you heard this from him personally? Or was it someone who told you or you heard it from someone and you are now passing it off as fact?

You also stated on this forum, it was in your words OBVIOUS i was not a member off Dee 4 life. Again something posted by you with no way of you knowing if this is factual or not.

How do you know that maybe i have not had time to read the minutes of the last meeting. How do you know that i was NOT at the last meeting? but you state its OBVIOUS i am not a dee4life member,again you come out with statements that you have no way of qualifying one way or another.

For someone who claims to do his homework you get a lot of things wrong. I await a response of more deflection and drivel.

Islay just admit you were wrong - you stated John Nelms said he hated Dee4Life and that Dee4Life members were not welcome at Gardyne. I challenged you on that and suggested that rather than an actual statement of hid hatred it was possibly someone's opinion. You then suggested I join Dee4Life (I responded that I'm already a member) and read the AGM minutes to which I responded I didn't have time - well against the odds I found time and guess what? I was right and you're once again proven to be no more than a **** stirrer with an axe to grind.

I've read through the AGM minutes and, although I might have missed it can see no reference to Dee4Life members not being welcome at Gardyne; I suspect that you're probably referring to your one off experience of going there uninvited and demanding a tour.

I did however find reference to a statement that John Nelms hates Dee4Life. However it is clearly, very clearly in fact, stated that it is the opinion of one individual and not actually a direct quote by John Nelms or a factual representation of any statement made by him. See the following direct quote from the AGM minutes...............

'In the formal session, ME had informed members that JN had indicated that he was no longer prepared to accept communications from D4L. ME expressed his opinion that JN was ‘livid’ with recent communications and ‘hated’ D4L. ME himself didn’t like what he read as the threat of legal action per D4L’s recent update and nor did the DSA commitee.'

Note - ME is someone called Matt Edwards and the above reads as his personal thoughts, no more and no less.

So, you were wrong - so very, very wrong. Will you apologise and admit that your own personal dislike of John Nelms, based on nothing more than his refusal to speak to you when you barged into Gardyne expecting an immediate audience, has led you to try to cause others to dislike him as much as you do?

For the record I'm not John Nelms' biggest fan (not by a long chalk) but I would never sink to the low of accusing him of something like this without proof or justification.

I've said time and time again that Islay's idea of 'research' is forming an opinion then trawling the net for 'evidence' to back his opinion up whilst completely ignoring any evidence, no matter how compelling, that doesn't fit his agenda. Then when challenged on this he deflects as has been proven on this thread.

He needs to step back, take stock and consider reassessing his approach to John Nelms and Dundee FC generally. However I think his skin's too thick and he's too far down the road of bitterness to do that.

Hardly a surprise when those communications included threats, either actual or perceived, of legal action. I don't necessarily read that as a flat refusal to speak to them.

However at RRoS says maybe comms should be suspended until JN starts delivering on promises, expectations and requirements.

I am glad that you have posted the information about what was stated at the Dee4life AGM Q and A.
Do you honestly think that ME would have stated in his opinion that JN was livid with the recent communications by Dee4life and he hated Dee4life if he had not been given this impression by John Nelms.
Every Dee4life member present at the Q and A including the Dee4life directors were shocked at this statement by ME including myself.
I am surprised that you do not know who Matt Edwards is as his photograph was on the front page of the Dundee Football Club website over a month ago.
For the record despite what John Nelms stated in the letter dated 7th December 2022 I did not barge into Gardyne when I was there to pick up the framed unsigned Josh Meekings strip which the Dee4life board of directors had donated to Dee Promotions to raffle but unfortunately no one was interested in it.
In hindsight I should have asked if the Club had closed circuit TV at the entrance to their Gardyne offices which would have shown my wife and I opening the front entrance door at the Club’s Gardyne offices prior to walking to the reception desk.
JN walked past us standing at the reception desk and never asked if we were being attended to which we were. He just ignored us.
