Hands up if you'd be happy if, say, the Saudis came in and bought Tony out. This kind of buyout has happened for example at Newcastle. The buyers don't need the dividends from a successful side, they're already mega wealthy. So you have to ask why they come into our game? I know the answer. Do you? Would you welcome a Newcastle scenario?
No thank you.
If they sorted out the catering and exit strategy then it’s a resounding definitely maybe
Absolutely. Our chairman has taken us as far as he can(or wants) financially. Bet he regrets not accepting the offers (American and Swedish ?) that allegedly were made last year.
We have been making mistakes this last season and the latest blunder was sacking the manager, with no replacement, which was ridiculous. It probably is time for TS to sell, as he can't take us any further.
So long as we accept that as soon as the owners have lost interest the club will simply cease to exist in a flash, with debts of £100m plus that nobody on earth is going to underwrite for Rotherham United, rather than Manchester United. In that case ok, go for it. Enjoy the ride and then the memories, for that is all we would be left with.
Saudi`s no,but someone like TS,but 10 times richer would be nice.
Suppose in one way if/when it went t1ts up people on here would love the post mortem…
