Tapping up is rife. Obviously a lot of our targets were edging their bets on bigger jobs, while courting our Chairman.
As for fans ambitions, I'm just happy to see us competing in games, whether we're playing Southampton or Northampton. The division is irrelevant to me. I just enjoy one game at a time. Can't remember the last time I looked at a league table.
We'll get, who we get. I'm sure he'll do his best.
Possibly the best post on here for donkeys. This bloke speaks sense.

I love Tony Stewart and am grateful for what he has done and continues to do for Rotherham United.
Many clubs with vastly more experienced boards have found themselves in massive debt by not being run properly.

He has a mantra that he does not get involved with the football side of things and leaves it to the manager and coaches as that is their area of expertise.

I wish he would hold the same standard about the media. Every time he gets in front on a camera or microphone he opens himself up for criticism and is sometimes too honest about going on holiday or dreaming of the premier league.
He needs a better media person in that knows how to handle the press and let them do it.

As much as I admire him, I’d like to see/hear less from him on the telly or radio and refer questions to a competent press office.

Sota a bit of plagiarism going off here, the original post from further up the thread.

"Top post Brin and well said, I don't know TS personally but he always strikes me as the kind of guy that you could agree a deal with and shake his hand and away you go. Unfortunately football is not like that a deal in football is never done until the contract has been signed in triplicate. TS has been turned over twice here and been made to look like a fool, I would imagine he will not be happy and if I was him I might be thinking enough is enough.

I would appoint WC and the coaches tomorrow announce that he trusts them to get the job done, make Rob Scott Director of Football and bugger off on a long cruise."
