I do not see him as somebody who can ever win games on a tactical level, purely more of a motivator who can get teams wound up for the odd game here and there and run them into the ground to get an occasional respectable performance and result which is physcially unsustainable in a 2 game a week period

I just do not see any progression as a football team with him as a manger, there is more to football than just running around a lot and hoofing it, it's borderline hit and hope

There are good technical players at the club in the middle of the park, notably Barron and Clarkson, but they are just being bypassed completely in most games with the direct style and complete tack of width due to the wingback set up

I would hate to see Robson go and be replaced with another boring manager who sets up with 5 at the back and playing direct like Robson does, i would prefer a manager who is more technical and plays a 4-3-3 and develop that style through the entire club from first team to youth sides with an emphasis purely on he technical side to gradually improve the teams footballing philosophy, and stick with that style even when it fails as the end goal is to improve the club long term

Problem is of course, is the clubs entire recruitment model was around playing 5 at the back, too many centre backs, most of whom are poor on the ball and end up hoofing it, and too many central strikers who can't really play as wide forwards, the club have signed too many players in these positions and spent money doing it, we paid half a million for a lad up top who has barely had a kick because of the tactical approach and the inability to play anywhere other than centrally
I thought we were trying to play out from the back last night and it was horrendous to watch.Pretty much Roos passing the ball back and forth to the centre backs with one eventually passing it forward which resulted in Kilmarnock winning the ball back.

Glass and Goodwin both tried to play that way and the tactic from the opposition is to just sit back and let us pass the ball around at the back and then win it back when we try to play it further forward.

It’s all very well playing out from the back if you have players like Man City do but it’s never going to work trying to get the likes of David Bates,Anthony Stewart or Richard Jensen to do it.

We might be more of an entertaining side if we had players who could actually run with the ball and beat people. No one in our team seems capable of doing that this season.
