    Tend to agree with that

    Our track record for doing that has been poor in the last few years

    That failure to beat off a lower league club to get Collins, he knew so much about, really disappointed MT.There were other players targeted that we could not persuade to come.When we cannot bring in lower league players to our club it does question what plan we have.

    We have picked up some players from 'lower league' clubs before and I would put the Scottish & Irish leagues in that category - that is what should be looking combined with some experienced championship players - if affordable, fit & half-decent.

    Recent examples of lower league players coming good for us include Jamie Lindsay, Matt Crookes, Hakeem Odoffin, Will Vaulks, Michael Smith & Georgie Kelly - all of them (in my opinion) add(ed) something to the squad and not expensive - fees paid or wages.
