Didzy for Toby in a 4231 and I’d probably agree (Didzy behind Macca, Crowley on the right and JJ on the left).
Doubt we will sign another keeper, but our squad looks better suited to 4231 at the moment rather than 3421.

McGoldrick is the problem, He doesn't fit into our system.. Crowley should play just behind Macca, as did Ruben..

Disagree completely. Any best XI or any system we play has to include McGoldrick.

Since his arrival there has been no fluency or mobility in our midfield. Everything is now at walking pace,, He is a very good player, but not for us I'm afraid..

If Notts had Erling Haaland Durham would be saying "get rid - he's brilliant, but doesn't fit our system".

You have answered that one yourself.. Every player has to fit into the system we play. If they dont fit regardless of how good they are, then they are not much use to you.. But we all see things differently, and thats the beauty of it..

tend to agree with that, seems to slow us down without producing any good forward passes

McGoldrick brings tons to the team. He's the only player up top capable of holding the ball up, and his link up play is excellent. He scores goals too. There's very little downside to having McGoldrick in the team in my opinion.

I’m a bit torn in hindsight we have needed him with Scott injured and if we are continuing with the current formation could have austin played consistently in that role at this level? Plus he’s had to fill in at centre mid.
If Scott hadn’t got injured though having a top class CB with what we know now would have certainly balanced us up and made us more solid I think.
Signing wise I think CM is priority as the system doesn’t work without a quality player in there but obviously very closely followed by a CB. Keeper wise I don’t think either are terrible but if somehow we can bring someone in then great but it wouldn’t be my priority.
