You're restricting yourselves to a couple of chances over the course of the 90 minutes and if the players don't execute it perfectly then it's goosed.

I'm sorry but in a final against a team you've beaten and drew with this season then you should fancy your chances and not be so defensive minded.

We gave every initiative to Sevco yesterday and what happened sadly could've been forseen.
You can argue that at the end of the day the buck stops with Robson but there is also an argument that certain players let him and the rest of the team down. I feel the counter attack was the best way to set up yesterday as we've got a couple of strikers these days who will put them away if they get even the slightest chance.

....But when the defence is doing their job and we get a slight break we needed Hayes and Clarkson (and a few others) to show a bit of composure and actually find their man. The only real criticism of Robson for yesterday, from me, would be that Jonny should never have been starting.

    The Shinnie conundrum....
I think he's finding himself in a role too far up the pitch.
I'd still have him in the team but he needs to play with the game in front of him now.
That seemed to be Clarkson's role, as a "quarterback" (as the media seems to call it when a ball player sits deeper in midfield) yesterday.
That's fine in theory but in practice, if you're going long, having one of your best passers watching the ball being kicked away from him seems daft.
