We are already 6 points adrift in the bottom three, 7 if you count GD. Our next five away games are at Fulham, who have just scored 10 in their last two home games, then Villa, Spurs, City and Liverpool, 2 of our next 4 home games are against Liverpool and Arsenal. If we aren't quite dead and buried yet, we certainly will be after that little lot, and I don't see any players out there who we could afford who will be able to save us, nor a manager who could come in and turn it round either.

VK is learning but not ready for the PL just yet imo. If he is to go I think Alan will give him until this time next year. The way VK sees the game, it’s all about talent in every position. And the way he got us playing in the Championship last year and the name he’s got enabled us to get even more talent in the summer. But I’ve been critical to his way of building the team all along. His eagerness to get in so many new players each year are bonkers. How can he build a real team when so many comes through the door each year?

I don’t think we will invest much this window. I didn’t think we would in the summer either, but how wrong was I then. It’s cheaper to buy players when you’re in the championship. I hope he has the same pull on players as he’s had so far. Hopefully he’ll be a bit wiser and will know what is needed to make it in the Prem. Fingers crossed!

I think you are right about this Sinkov. The only thing that worries me is can morale sink so far as to become irrecoverable. I assume there
will not be a clean sweep in the summer. I still can't understand how last summer was such a disaster. On a brighter note Odebert looks ver promising.

Mr Pace is a believer, he believes he is on the true path of soccer enlightenment and all of the non-believers will just have to suck it up.

It's a good question Tap, last summer the players must have been thinking Vinni was someone who could walk on water, they would have hung onto his every word. Now they wouldn't be human if they weren't looking at him down Gawthorpe and thinking, 'Does this guy really know what he's talking about'?

Last Spring when we deservedly lifted the Championship trophy, I really believed VK could walk on water. There was a genuine buzz of excitement from everyone connected with the club , from top to bottom. I floated through last summer, getting plenty of compliments along the way, wearing my Burnley shirts etc, at every given opportunity, on the streets of Cardiff and surrounding areas, aswell as on holidays too. It was great to be noticed that I was a fan of a great club, who were definitely” on the way back “. It was a great season, and despite the tough opening half a dozen fixtures, I could see light at the end of the tunnel, and expected us to be climbing the table to a comfortable position, as we approached the second half of the season
. Relegation never ever entered my mind, until reality sunk in. Like many others, I now have doubts about the manager, and also the way in which the club is being run. You couldn’t wish for a greater contrast in 12 months of football. It’s disillusioning, disappointing and disheartening to see the way things are going. Is there any hope for the not too distant future ? Right now, it’s hard to believe there is.

A good post Mal, I would think that sums up the way most of us are feeling.

I agree.Surely VK couldn't have anticipated being in the position we are by Christmas.I hear good things being said about individual players
such as Laarsen,Koleosho,Amdouni etc but what contribution have we had this season from Benson and Zaroury,I don't think the latter was even on the bench on Saturday.

My aspirations this season have been greatly reduced and my sole aspiration now is to get 12 points, any more will be a bonus.

I am still trying to get my head round the takeover and wonder just where we are going as a club.

There are a lot of things happened off the field and behind the scenes which are open to conjecture and it remains to be seen whether or not the ideas benefit the club in the long run or just individuals who are involved.
