It's more annoying when VAR could have rectified that but they won't use it in those circumstances.
Willy Boly gets a second yellow and sent off for having his ankle stamped on. Wouldn't it be nice to have a weekend when a referee didn't make a complete arse of himself and ruin a game.

Another clown reffing Wolves and Chelsea today, Mr Coote was just ten yards away with a good view when Sterling got whacked high up on his shin, it looked a yellow for sure, he didn't even give a free-kick, just waved play on. By the end it was laughable, he was just waving yellows around for fun, nine in total. If there are any more like Rebecca out there, FFS get them promoted, most of our current PL refs are a laughing stock.
SInkov, that incident with Sterling was not a foul at all because the Wolves player had made contatc with the ball which he had played away but Sterling was in the act of trying to kick it, was fractionally late and his shin then caught the boot of the player who had kicked it. The problem is now that this sort of incident is nearly always penalised, whereas, when me and BT played the game it would be accepted as all part of a contact sport as I always accepted when I officiated.
FIFA and those running the sport are still intent on removing all physical contact and the more this sort of thing is penalised the more the contact will be removed and the game will not be worth watching because players are becoming afraid to tackle.
Bring back Stuart Pierce, Kevin Ball, Colin Blant et al and make the game worth watching again.
Mr Coote was all over the place Sub, he seemed to be refereeing on a whim, a player has his arm grabbed, falls down, play on, five minutes later, another player gets his arm grabbed, falls down, free kick. His decision making was awful and by the end the game was almost out of his control.
Second half Sterling got clattered on his thigh during an edge of the box 50/50 tussle with a Wolves defender. No way was it a penalty, no way was it a foul, just a coming together of two players playing footy.
Coote booked Sterling for "simulation". The only simulation going on yesterday was Coote pretending to be a referee.
