The fact that only those put forward by Tories got contracts stinks and is possibly yet another transgression of Law.
It also demonstrates that the gutting of the procurement depts in the Civil Service was a false economy, the only reason these shysters got involved was because there weren't the staff to do it "in house". Though why in an emergency staff could not ahve been reassigned to PPE procurement, I mean how hard is it to ring up a company and get quotes for a product. I could have done it!!

This is true of much of the outsourcing and employment of consultants to do the work previously done in house - sure it looks like the cost of employing civil servants has been reduced, but in reality bigger sums are wasted on outside contractors and consultants.

Don't even ask what £30 billion spent on the test and trace programme achieved!!
