Not exactly true as all players have a price.

An example is if someone offered us £1m plus for Langstaff you think we reject it ?

We'd have to have such a massive rehaul this summer if we somehow went up.

Teams like Luton and Lincoln spent multiple seasons in L2 after getting promoted from the NL. They went up when they were good and ready, and that made it easier for them to establish themselves in L1.
Our style also requires good understanding between players and massive amounts of practice to make it work. I'm not sure you can do that even in a pre-season following a major overhaul. I am not sure that players coming in during January will hit the ground running, so we may need to be patient before deciding whether we have been ambitious / successful in our recruitment.

I would love to see your evidence for this - one early recruit and some rumours about a young lad and a golden oldie? I'm not sure how you draw your conclusion from that information.

I am not sure how sitting in the play offs isn't challenging, but I suspect you would still hold your view of having given up even if we were 10 points clear at the top.

At the end of the day, we all know this is the model. Take a rough diamond, develop and sell. Use the funds to improve squad. Brentford and to a lesser extent Peterborough have shown the way with this and it’s worked. WHEN rather than IF Macca leaves, the meltdown on here will be nuts. The club will be accused of no ambition. We won’t get promoted if we sell our assets. Some folk will turn on the owners. Despite the fact it’s well documented this is how the club is looking to progress.
I guess it all depends how much he goes for. If he goes below the estimate people have then there will be a few upset people, if it is more than people would be more accepting. If we then bring in a replacemnt people see as being "up to the Job" then I guess people will be happy.

To be honest, I don't think you do. I think you see things how you believe they are, not how the majority see them. That is rather different.

I would hope so. Over the coming seasons he is probably going to be worth more than that to us as a Notts player.

I think it would depend on how big the 'plus' was. I am not sure £1m would be enough.. but 5 or 10?

It also depends what he has in his contract too its worth remembering that.

Personally I dont want him to go but I think he is likely to in the summer as if he stays fit is going to hit 30 goals again.

We not get anywhere close to £5m for him lets be realistic.

It's a huge jump between league 2 and The Championship and if he has a release clause in his contract I'd be happy to see Macca go but if he does we need a replacement as Junior is not good enough

Just like the majority of those who think Nemane is the best thing since slice bread, but in reality he is just a bang average inconsistent none league player...The same goes to those who were raving about Randall and Morias...
