If he leaves today, we stop paying his salary and then just start with a new head coach when appointed.
So they're going to work for nothing they will want the same contracts lf not more than LW and Assistant.

LW earned his new contract with promotion back to the Football League. A new coach would start on a basic (good) wage and have to earn a pay rise just like any other job. Why would a new coach expect the same wage??

Wouldn’t agree, it was the intensity for me and especially in winning the ball back which I believe turned our away form around from the season before.

Yes LW got us promoted but I somehow can’t see a mural of him opposite the Navi or a statue outside the ground.
Just 18 months says it all. He said his time at Notts allowed him to become a chooser and not a beggar. It seems that at possibly the first opportunity, he has chosen to leave us. Not a good way to repay the loyalty of the club, it’s owners, players or the fans.
It’s probably quite an easy decision for him… moving up 2 divisions to a team with one of the best training facilities in the country.

Plus he’s already living locally to Swansea with his family… it works for him on every level.

    - Bigger Club
    - Better facilities
    - Better money
    - more time with family

    Why wouldn’t he leave?

So we stop paying Williams and Harley and start paying the new lot. We still keep all the compensation.

I get the feeling Swansea Independent knows about as much as we do and is just assuming with what the media say is true

Hilarious, genuinely mad that anyone thinks LW didn't add much. He was the prime mover really, lost count of the times we have had good players who didn't perform including the season we went down and that's down to owners and managers. 2 points a game average, 176 goals under LW. Good luck to him, we have been super lucky to gave him. Langstaff was a winger. Onto the next, in the bros we trust.

They are paying big bucks for a really unknown. He failed at Swindon, done well here but we are an unusual set up. The Swans won't be like us in player research & recruitment. He will be having to do his own work on this now you'd pressume
If a manager wants to go, he’ll go.

Swansea still haven’t agreed compensation with Southampton for Russell Martin.

I'm not saying he wasn't adding much, I'm saying that are we putting weight to his addition where it should go elsewhere? Like I mentioned, one aspect of IB's tenure was a lot of pressure that went unrewarded. LW had Langstaff which was a bit of a cheat code so the pressure was rewarded

Some might say he’s been let down by the recruitment during the summer, but surely the whole point of the head coach model is that he’s supposed to improve the players he’s been given to work with.

I think Williams’ departure could be an opportunity as much as a threat.
Yep. There’s no doubting the attacking threat we carry, from midfield and attack, but the fact the defence hasn’t been remodelled yet is a worry. Now that could be down to the club or LW wanting to give his guys a fair crack of the whip…etc…but with the injury to MP causing another gap to open up the defence…
Maybe a new man will address this issue, hopefully, only thing to change will be the defence tightening up?

Assuming the transfer by committee continues, new signings must have already been identified to help?
