Swansea spent money without doubt, we got promoted from L2 with Trundle and Morrell etc and they signed Trundle from us despite still being in the league 2. So it certainly wasn't done on a small budget but they did it extremely well to be fair.

If LW goes there is the danger of that like when Keith Curle replaced the popular and charismatic Martin Allen. Yes we had an excellent away form and went unbeaten away from home for a year under Keith Curle but playing the same style at home with one up front who was isolated did not give him time or patience from the fans.

With any new manager if our home form continues and we play a similar style (which I'm expecting as it's the clubs philosophy) and away results improve and we finish in the playoffs that should be enough for fans to warm to them. Sounds like a big ask and a challenge but the right candidate should relish that.

If someone offered us £2 million now and we had time to recruit four or five excellent players in January to plug the holes, it perhaps wouldn't be so bad, but I'd rather we sell him in the summer when there's more available. Either way, I doubt we'll hold on to him if he keeps on scoring.

I wish either the club or Like would come out and either rule it out as speculation or say negotiations are ongoing. This drip, drip, drip of snippets and rumours does nothing for my health . I do feel though, the longer it goes on, the more likely he really us leaving .

I think we'll know one way or another tomorrow if he's going to be in their dugout on Saturday....Unless he's going to pop down there this weekend to take a picture of himself in the dugout for a laugh
