Thread: O/T Hobbies Or Pastimes

  1. #11
Once got caught in a sudden torrential downpour while I had the hive open. The bees out foraging swarmed back to find me trying to close the hive up asap, they didn't like it and set about me. I had 20 or 30 stings.
I always check the weather now to avoid any chance of rain.
I only have 5 hives but get approx 24lbs of honey off each hive.

My hobby is spending most of my time babysitting a bunch of geriatrics on a football message board. Outside that I enjoy gardening, golf (not as often as I'd like) and photographing this wonderful planet that we are lucky to spend our oh too short lives on.

    Writing books and making music.

I've published a how-to book on living and working overseas, two volumes of memoirs and I'm well into a fourth effort - this time a novel.

This is me, my son and daughter-in-law on You Tube.

I know it's not brilliant but there is nothing better than making music with ones family...

I'm a record collector, got over 3000 albums, and I've got an old Jaguar which I love taking to shows.
When I was a kid, like a lot of people I used to make model planes, about 10 years ago I started doing this again, and about a year ago I started making model cars, which given my love of old cars,I'm surprised I never did before.
Made 4 so far,and just completed my first motorbike, a Yamaha Virago.
What do get up to ?
Towner. Do you buy kits or do you make them from timber?
My dad and Mrs had a spat of making model vehicles between them. Some of them are amazing and the details are unbelievable.

Thank you for sharing your lovely family with us.
Just a bit of fine tuning in the harmonies and singing together and it ain’t that bad.

Happy New Year to all your loved ones.

Actually that is superb! Lovely stuff and a great family band.
As a Flying V flyer I've always admired those who can do it properly.
