Stallard said he briefly played with Strachan at Cork.

I don't think the Swansea fans are overwhelmed by this and if he doesn't get off to a good start then it could turn sour pretty quickly.
If I remember correctly Notts fans weren’t overwhelmed with his appointment either.

Let's have a reality check! He got us promoted out of a very poor non league. Warnock took us from the 3rd to 1st division and surely from 4th to 1st. He is simply not in the same bracket . Good, and thank you luke ! But no legend
A league we struggled to get out before he arrived.

Personally, I hope there's no retreat from the current brand of football.

I also think many fans have had something of a re-programming and are used to seeing the game played a certain way. It'd be a shock to see a ball booted high into Row Z after the last few years.
This. The whole point of that style of play is to pass it around at the back which draws them onto us which create gaps which to exploit. Either that or move them around enough chasing the ball to open up gaps. We just need a defence who can maybe move the ball quicker but also mainly defend better and not like they're in a circus act. If we play the way we have been we will keep being successful as we get better players.

I’ve already said a couple of times I’d like us to at least have a look at Stuart Maynard.
I want to see more of what we’ve had the last 18 months but thinking about it, firstly we need a leader and someone who connects with the fans. I don’t think LWs coaching was worlds ahead of IBs but he’s a leader, IB clearly wasn’t.

I think it's not compare to Sirrel and Warnock but a Notts legend still for getting us out of non league and into the playoffs this season. Stockport and Mansfield have been building, Wrexham are Wrexham and Barrow have at least had a couple of seasons to add players. We have done really well this season even though been on a bad run. Plus we've had maybe our most important player out which for a small squad is really hard. Luke has done brilliantly.
