It's an unlikely name to appear at the top of the list based purely on punters speculating, isn't it?

The bookies must love these markets. In a horse race there is always someone who backs the winner, in this case it's quite possible that all bets will lose!

I had a look through the managers the bookies are touting us for and there's a strange mixture of the usual suspects like Ince and Bowyer, ex notts players and random people involved in the world of football.

Of the ones I'd never heard of:

Rhys McCabe is player manager of Airdrieonians.

Charlie Trout was born in Nottingham, became a postman and is now managing the Puerto Rican national team.

Billy Magnusson is manager of Swedish second tier side Landskrona.

Travis Binnion is a Manchester United academy coach and an ex cricketer.

Matt Craddock is a first team coach at Bolton.

Chris Hogg is assistant manager at Bristol City.

Bjorn Hamberg was a coach at Brighton.

Morten Dahm Kjærgaard is manager of Aarhus Fremad in Denmark.

Harry Watling is a first team coach at Rangers.

I did chuckle when I saw Keith Hill at 25/1.

Trout would be a fish out of water,Magnusson a potential mastermind.
Binnion sounds a mere minion,Craddock should stick to the kitchen.
Hogg's demands are too much,Bjorn-yesterday's man.
    Kierkegaard's philosophy matches the Bros',is Harry Barry's son ?
Queef Hill would be a breath of fresh air.

Essentially what we need is a Head Coach who can maintain the principle of playing attractive passing football, but with a bit more defensive steel, which will boil down to a mixture of coaching style and the type of player we bring in during this and the next transfer window. To date we've focused heavily on signing creative players and goal scorers, which gives us the ability to win plenty of games, especially at home. Now we need to balance that out with a few defender/destroyer types who can take charge on those occasions when we're not in complete control of games.
What we’ll discover now is whether it’s the system that’s behind our success or if LW was an exceptional talent we can’t replace. I take heart from Brighton after Graham Potter left (and half their players) - they’re now even better under De Zerbi. You’d hope that our current position and good health will allow us to attract an even better head coach than when we appointed LW. Fingers crossed.

As much as we were expecting & awaiting the announcement I must confess I haven't felt this down since we lost Jimmy, truly gutted but good luck Luke. As for the future I think past experience shows that bookies odds mean nothing & I just hope that the brothers have another gem lined up, no more well known but failed managers thanks. COYP

Good luck to him but I think he'll find it very hard work with a club and fans expecting Premiership football tomorrow.
Us Swansea fans aren’t expecting Premier League football any time soon.

To stay in the league and maybe get mid table playing decent football would be brilliant.

Potentially building for a play off push in 2 or 3 seasons.

Maybe we should have done this last summer.

If you're still in the Championship three seasons from now LW will have been sacked. Very few clubs don't sack managers if they haven't moved forwards after three seasons.
