I'm watching the Swansea/ Morecombe game, it very low level at the moment, must be strange for LW,gone from a place where he was highly thought of to a stadium with no magnificent Kop to his left, just empty seats, he must reflect on that.
I'm sure he will say its incredible...

To be fair to him he couldn’t do much with the defensive players he had until the transfer window. He could shuffle them about but they mainly picked themselves. He gave the lads who got us back into the football league a chance to prove themselves but he surely realised some aren’t good enough and I’m sure he would have tried to improve that area in January, but now we will never know.

Swansea fans on twitter thinking it was amazing. They scored an offside goal and a defensive mistake against a side that we pumped 5-0 a couple of weeks ago. I know they're Welsh but seemingly easily pleased

Would you still feel the same if you knew he had spoken to Swansea 3 weeks ago to become their next manager ?????

Durham you were saying he might have lost the players after the Oxford saga and then we saw 2 fantastic dispays at home and after dominating Stockport away. Facts are we played harder teams the last couple of months and with a paper thin squad, results were always going to dip.
If he did speak to them I have no problem with it, Notts do it with players we’re after, Langstaff for example was aware months before and conversations had happened, he said so himself, it’s football.

Players don't think like fans. Most of them knew that LW had an interest in the Swansea job (and possibly Bristol City just before that)
None of them wanted the Gaffer to leave but they know that football is a precarious business and if even the most popular of them got injured or badly lost form there is a good chance their contract wouldn't be renewed when it expired
Luke is a great leader and all the players loved and respected him but most of the senior guys have families themselves and know that ultimately everyone has to put their family first
