Absolutely right Deeranged. There is no way this fiasco was not known about in political circles and why on earth was the honour given in the first place.
Daily Mail has been banging on about this farce for years, but as you point out it takes a TV programme which says these events are true, to make an impact.
I don't believe that Paula Vennills is the only person who delivered this massive breach of justice. All those who knew are equally guilty. There's no way she single handedly managed this or single handedly decided on the course of action taken.
