This seems unbeleivable but the depopularisation by vaccins and steriliasation to reduce the number of people in the world is a documented and recorded goal for The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation

We do!! By cross checking in much the same way we should be doing for most research sources.
A summary from their wiki page which I think is about right based on my reading of their summaries:
Writers at the Poynter Institute, which develops PolitiFact,[24] have stated that "Media Bias/Fact Check is a widely cited source for news stories and even studies about misinformation, despite the fact that its method is in no way scientific."[4] In 2018, a writer in the Columbia Journalism Review described Media Bias/Fact Check as "an armchair media analysis"[25] and characterized their assessments as "subjective assessments [that] leave room for human biases, or even simple inconsistencies, to creep in".[26] A study published in Scientific Reports wrote: "While [Media Bias/Fact Check's] credibility is sometimes questioned, it has been regarded as accurate enough to be used as ground-truth for e.g. media bias classifiers, fake news studies, and automatic fact-checking systems.
I think I trust them enough to get a very good idea on what a media outlets general political intentions and biases are. They seem to have picked up quite well on the guardian's recent decline in fact checking. Impossible to eliminate unconscious bias for sure but you can cross reference this and everything else through an attempt to be objective. Not that I haven't been caught out with crap sources before and no doubt will again. What seems to be a defining thing of our age, with politically active elders being generally the worst for it, is a willingness to accept and share news and articles that confirm our world views without enough critical scrutiny. Its a ****ing malaise!
