Segregation is the key. It is long time since I have been in the JS so I can’t remember the layout apart from it being relatively narrow underneath.
If for example, we were to build a brick wall underneath to permanently divide the stand such that there was sufficient capacity for away fans to have the minimum 10% (or slightly more) then we would have created a permanent away enclosure. A few extra turnstiles and or exit doors could be installed if necessary. The same measures might be required in the other half.
Segregation above ground would be by netting as it is now.

    1. No daft talk of giving up the Kop
    2. Increased home capacity - don’t forget that against Mansfield and others we have sold out of home seats. If we have ambitions to grow as a club we need more home seats permanently. Season tickets included.
    3. We help the team maintain home advantage by reducing the influence of away support whilst still allowing a significant following (as required by the rules) and helping to still generate a good atmosphere.

The Stockport game will be a good measure hopefully because they have been allocated 1976 tickets (approx 10% of ground capacity but probably about 15% of the match day crowd). Of course it is possible that Notts may yet give them more.
Let’s all see whether that feels about right.
There is a segregation gate under the J.S stand

Happy Friday to you too, obviously in a very cheery mood after the appointment of the new head coach. I think we’ll win one and draw one of the home games and anything we get from the one call is a bonus.

Nowt to do with the head coach. I initially thought we would get only 3 points at Grimsby from this group of 4 games.
