After failing to score in the second half, despite many attempts, we desperately require a goal scorer in the January window.
Going into this game against our bogie team with absolutely zero confidence.,
Away win 😀

So does everyone else and therein lies the problem with recruitment.
Never going to win when the manager plays the wrong starting line up. The team that ended the game was far stronger
Queens have beaten two teams in the league at Palmerston this season - Annan and Edinburgh (U20s).
Their overall record against teams outside the bottom two is
P16 W2 D3 L11 Pts 9. So 9 points out of 48.
Edit Their home record against teams outside the bottom two is P8 W0 D2 L6 Pts 2.
That was eye bleeding bad! Our defensive frailties on show again for their goal, a midfield who are posted missing for most of the game, so many long balls to a centre forward who can't jump to save himself etc. etc. We were very fortunate to go in level at half time. Second half Alloa became as wasteful as we were and it ended up a dreadful spectacle. Yes we had a couple of chances to nick it at the end but that would have flattered us. We desperately need some new blood in the squad to instill some urgency into our play because"pedestrian" does not do our style of play justice. With under 1000 in attendance this figure is going to plummet because what is on offer is no where near value for money.
Two more home points dropped unfortunately. We really should of won. Lee was involved in a lot of big moments. Obviously scoring our goal but had another couple of chances where he should be showing his quality. He did put in a late perfect cross that Gavin may have taken but not today.
Positives that we at least came back from behind. Young Oscar didn't hide after being out muscled for the Alloa goal and helped set up our goal. I thought Logan was having a much better game than he's been having this season. Much more positive.
Negatives we really need to be taking 3 points from teams in around ourselves. Apart from the ball into Lee for the goal I don't think McKechnie put in another ball. He has been off form for weeks but the manager seems oblivious.
Onto Paisley for the cup.
Having just listened to the manager's post match interview it is pretty clear there is little or no prospect of any new players coming in anytime soon. He focussed on injured players coming back into the squad. Got to say that's disappointing!
Previously, Marvin has talked about bringing fresh legs in during the transfer window, so what has changed?
We're not asking for an entire team of new players, but surely a replacement for Mimnaugh is a must? It's not Marvin ' s fault that his creative midfielder was crocked for the season.
As for up front, -I'm fully aware that every club in the world is looking for a goalscorer, but if I've mentioned it once, I've done so a hundred times, this present Queens squad, need a big, strong lad who can hold the ball up and lay it off for all our five foot sixers. ........that's completely different to asking for a goal scorer, but it potentially gets you the same result.
Surely the manager and the BOD can see what we are lacking, because one things for sure, the hardcore 1000 fans can see it as clear as day, and we can't all be wrong......can we?
