I thought Swansea were very good in the second half. Hit both posts and largely dominated and pressed Southampton out of the game. They also created and wasted a lot of very good chances to get back in the game. Of course, the first half wasn’t good enough but they were playing probably the best team in the division and he’s what, into his second game?

I’m a bit surprised at some of the scoffing of LW on this thread actually 🤷

Its very sad to be honest! - He did Notts proud and I wish him every success at whatever club he is at (apart from if his team plays Notts of course)

My prediction is he will be sacked within 18 months, and will be appointed by Wrexham afterwards. Good luck to him overall he did a good job, but i do believe in the future he will regret leaving us at the time he did.

Could be lucky to last this, never mind 18 months. There is a big problem between the Owners & fans. Many wanting them out. Hedge funds will want a return on their investment pretty quick, to try to get the fans back on their side. He loses 5 or so games out of 9. immense pressure will be on all round.
What gripes me is the fact he knew where Nottm was when he took the job, his partner had the business, he had kids, so why take the job?
What does he do when he leaves Swansea, not too many clubs around that area. I wouldn't be looking to employ him for my business knowing he could bolt as soon as a job nearer home became available.
Got to admit I had a big grin when I saw yesterdays result & the previous week when Brum scored in the 90th min.

Because he knew with the squad we had in the NL last season it was highly likely he'd get a promotion under his belt. To me it seems he used us as a stepping stone back to Swansea. He was always going to go back to swansea even if we were top of the league by 10 points. The Notts job was never a long term project for him the same way we see it.

Great to hear Stu and the team will be moving to Nottingham, shows true commitment.

Don't think we were a stepping stone. Swansea might not have been looking for a new man for years. He was at MK Dons & Swindon both a good distance from Swansea.
Jesus if players felt that way, where would football be?

He was Moniz mark 2. He had no idea when it came to addressing the defensive problems. He was convinced that playing square pegs in round holes was the answer to his master plan. If he remained at the club next season, we would have been in a relegation battle. The players, like Jones, Macca, Crowley and Bostock, who were all mainly responsible for our decent home form would have all jumped ship, and he would have been absolutely clueless as to what to do without them..

Or he would have addressed the frail defensive side while keeping the fantastic attacking side.

    Take your pick.
