Burnley could easily be relegated this season in fact it is much more than likely. The Championship is cutthroat down there and there is no guarantee that they would bounce back up again as they did last time. It could well be that they could end up with an extended spell in Tier 2 and not impossible to slip further, there being ample examples of such over the past 30 years.

I would have been happier with a tie up to a more established Premiership team. The top ones would be out of our 'league' but maybe Palace, Everton or West Ham might have been better although none of these are guaranteed to remain top flight. A tie up with Spurs now that would be the dream scenario for me!

I'm fascinated with the European comment.

    Sheep made 6 million apparently.

They ain't doing this to get a cple of Laddies in our first team.

Spurs are my English team owing to the historic Dundee connections.

Agree. I think there is a chance for Europe and could our club get that chance, we need to try. If we get behind TD and the team and forget about everything else we might surprise ourselves - and everyone else! Going to be a glass half full poster for a while, at least about the footie.

We could but we are currently only 4 points above 2nd bottom place in the Premier League.

St J game is massive. Think team will be very cross that they blew a 2 goal lead against Hearts and I expect a great response.

It's possibly just out of reach now but a win at livvy and em back on the bus/flight.

Thinking about it trying to qualify is almost a free hit, you don't make it to group stages then you are getting 1.1 million anyway.

I think as long as you don't try to do what utd did and but there was in its a wonderful opportunity.

5th gets you a crack at it, still have to win 3 ties but give me that over LC group stages anyday of the week.

We obviously wouldn't make 6 mill but it all helps to grow the club.

Btw If I remember rightly utd came 4th, not sure if they had to win 1 or 2 ties to qualify but they got the hardest possible draw I believe, better draw and a bit of luck they might have made it.

It's just a strange thing for Burnley guys to say.......is there a payoff for qualification?
