You seem to forget, the previous 2 managers didn't have the quality of players that he had. So the odds were very much in his favour to do better..

Difficult to argue against that I'm afraid.

I agree with you, but not withstanding it doesn't do any harm to be a bit positive mate. How many times have Notts had players who have been pants at Notts and great elsewhere. I think you know the answer to that. He did a fantastic job for Notts and I wish him all the best. He returned us to the EFL and got us competing in L2. What more can you ask for? Was her perfect? Definitely not. If you adopt a positive outlook to life then it can take you a long way. I can tell you now I have had plenty of personal challenges and set backs in recent years but it will never stop me. None the less I would still buy you a pint!

I've been reading the Swansea Forum. It's like reading on here. "Not the manager's fault but the lack of quality that the defenders and midfield have".

I'm already starting to doubt the way that LW coaches at a higher level.

It works well against lesser teams and players of lesser ability, but it is so unidirectional and rigid and when it doesn't work, there is no Plan B.

I wish LW the best, but it's odd reading the comments of Swansea fans bemoaning the players like the Notts fans did after a defeat.

On that basis, Jimmy Sirrel was nothing special. He had the luxury of Masson, Needham, Stubbs and Bradd etc.

I prefer to remember it differently.

“It’s a collective lack of guts by successive coaches.
Sorry but for me ,Williams doesn’t cut it.“

And we all thought Notts fans were bad. What’s that 3 games?

Although I’ll have a look at our comments if Maynard struggles!!!

That's not what he was saying though is it.

He was comparing the squad LW had compared with IB and NA.

It is clear he had better players to work with.

Or did he play a big part in making them better players? Would Notts County and Macauley Langstaff have scored so many goals and won so many games under NA or IB?

    I don’t think so, what’s your opinion?

Ok, I will answer your question:

He obviously did improve them, and I don't think we would have won so many games nor scored so many goals. However, I do think that Langstaff would have scored a lot of goals because he is a natural. I think IB may have got us to 2nd, but not with such a big gap over 3rd.

    Now how about you answer my question;

Was the squad that LW had better than IB or NA had?
