    That's not what he was saying though is it.

    He was comparing the squad LW had compared with IB and NA.

    It is clear he had better players to work with.

    Or did he play a big part in making them better players? Would Notts County and Macauley Langstaff have scored so many goals and won so many games under NA or IB?

    Ok, I will answer your question:

    He obviously did improve them, and I don't think we would have won so many games nor scored so many goals. However, I do think that Langstaff would have scored a lot of goals because he is a natural. I think IB may have got us to 2nd, but not with such a big gap over 3rd.

    Now how about you answer my question;

    Was the squad that LW had better than IB or NA had?

    Yes. It’s something we’ll never know, but I think if we had stuck with NA or IB we would still be a National League club.

    I think Luke Williams was the catalyst that made the experiment work.
