It's a good auction if you're into the Millers!

I think the home one had a crease and the away one was faded in colour but nevertheless, as you say, way below market value.
I’ve got facsimile copies of both of them as I think both the Millers and Villa issued them as giveaways in their matchday programmes.
I got the Villa one off eBay and it only cost about £4 incl postage. It looks like the real thing and better than nowt

Yes, I’ve got the facsimile as well - but only the Home final one. Bought it as part of a package of six 1960/61 programs for, I think £20 in total. Would have bid for the real thing if I’d known it was going for so little - even with the crease.

I think the highest successful bid was £1000 and that was for a few programs for the earlier rounds of the LC final. If that’s what you have then they appear to be in high demand

There’s one from an away game in 1949 for a friendly with a German side Niedersachsen that went for £100
The person or persons who assembled this collection must have been a super fan on a par with Derek Dalton

Interesting. I just checked what was included in the package and one of the programs is the Third Round League Cup tie against Bristol Rovers in November 1960.

I know I also have the program for the Semi-final home leg against Shrewsbury Town somewhere. I was at that match in March 1961 and bought it myself...

I wonder what they are worth now?

I was also surprised to find I have all three programs for the epic FA Cup Final Third Round matches against Arsenal in January 1961 (at Rotherham, Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday) as well as the first match v Brighton in the 4th round. I think I was collecting all things 1959-61 at one point which marked my first interest in the Millers.

With our current plight in the transfer market. Paul Douglas has been in touch and is willing to offer Tom Eaves plus a conker (with string) as a straight swap for that program collection CT
