We were missing two Nudge… Connel and Kane
One of them…( and it showed when Connel came on) and we can get by….. but when both are missing… we haven’t enough quality.

Connell and Kane are irreplaceable when injured and the other big problem is we’ve no right hand side to the team, why he didn’t try Lopata in place of William and move William out wide in place of Okeeffe, is beyond me, it might not have work but it was better than persevering with the set up we’ve got.

I don't think anyone would argue that the HC hasn't got a mistake in him or that he's even as good as Michael Duff .

However to completely hang Collins out to dry and blame him for practically everything that's wrong at the club is just yourself justifying your position and continuing to be the lickspittle you are with regard to these owners and their strategy .

Only you could blame a 20 year old kid in Aiden Marsh for us getting kicked out of the FA Cup .

A club that knew what they were doing and actually saw this season for what it is would have brought in three or four quality players this window already .

The reason given that we are cash strapped is absolute nonsense , we know the £8 is coming in , what's the problem that we can't access £2m of it ? .

The truth is of course that the owners lack ambition , have no real strategy and as I've said before are winging it at best .

Collins despite one or two flaws is very much the victim here .

    Animal.
Collins is nowhere near as good as Duff.
Duff wasn’t brilliant - he was scared - he wasn’t brave enough when it counted eg Luke Thomas at Wembley.

If - and I don’t know if it was him - but if Marsh was ineligible then he was responsible.
    At 20 he’s a grown man FFS !!!
Equally the club should have been there to baby sit him knowing he was a footballer.

    Four quality players equals debt.
What’s your obsession with running the club into debt and hence out of competitive business !?!?!

The £8 million came in AFTER there was no time to spend it.
It will get spent at the club.
It won’t get spent increasing the directors bank account.

    No ambition 😂😂😂
Here we go again - flat cap and thermos flask - same owd same owd saying we used to hear time and time again - ‘they don’t want to go up’.

It was clear & obvious today with the little quality we have in the team was missing ,in Connell , Kane & Styles we had no engine room , Connell came on & started to dictate play but the game was lost with an awful first 45 minutes , at least in the second half Connel, Cosgrove & Cotter brought some pace & purpose to our play bu over the ninety minutes we got what we deserved . I don"t want to hear nonsense blaming Collins because once these lads crossed the white line they should do their jobs to the best of their ability & today they clearly didn"t , also it was the second defeat in 14 games & for both those defeats Kane was missing which is no coincidence , he is our play maker who makes us tick & when he is not playing apart from Styles there is no one capable of doing the job yet again there are some who are so blind they cannot see it . If Collins can get this lot to the play offs with the players he has at his disposal he will have done a remarkable job, the board need to back him in the next few days or I am afraid that will be it for the season, Collins might be doing a brilliant job but he hasn"t got a squad anything like Duff had and he failed so it is nearly mission impossible for Collins , he has my sympathy .

    Well done cocker !!!
Although it looks like the failure today is cos Collins didn’t get the expected ‘chicken with no head’ style of football out of them.

Why why why should anyone question why fans are keeping away from Oakwell ???
It’s not as though we are bottom of the league.
It’s entirely because - although we might win most games - the style of football is abysmal.
I have heard you come out with this one before Nudger about fans staying away from Oakwell , well they are not , generations evolve and therefore you get a change of who comes through the turnstyles over a period of time but crowds have more than held their own over a long period of time & for division one level our crowds have increased from division one crowds we have had in yesteryear , I have no problem with people who choose to stay away but I have a problem with those who stay away & jump on the back of a defeat & blame the style of football to justify their absence , you dont have to justify your absence because it is your choice , but the crowds have not dropped off at all Nudger .

I’m not knocking Collins he’s doing a very good job with the squad he’s been provided with but I do think he got it wrong today.

Collins: “I will digest it and think if I got my team selection and tactics right.”
He added: “Sam would have been disappointed not to start. Max along with many others had a disappointing first half. The team was just not functioning and I had to make a change at half-time."

I think I’ll ring him up and tell we started with no midfield putting extra pressure on our young suspect defence.

Collins on Styles/Sunderland: “It’s still on the table but he wasn’t well anyway. Regardless of any talks, he wouldn’t have been able to play. We hope he feels better and we will see what the next few days bring in terms of the transfer window.”

Me thinks that’s him towing the line covering the board who continue making it difficult for him.

Left side of the field is ignored. Cadden is ignored by all of them….MDG doesnt even look his way…. I feel frustrated for him.

I paid during 2 seasons of Covid….. missed last seasons Glory. And back this season……. I cant ACTUALLY justify my attendance …. I cant tell you when i walked away from Oakwell this season happy with the full performance…..

I cant justify how we are where we are with what Ive seen. …Honestly.
